Being successful as a digital nomad requires having strong digital skills. I had the good fortune to get into digital marketing at a young age and develop the skills I needed to run this blog successfully. While I am able to travel because of the passive income I earn from my digital marketing agency and affiliate marketing, this may not be the case for many other digital nomads.

The low cost of living in developing countries can make people believe that they do not need to earn as much money. However, if your only sources of digital income are a YouTube video and a landing page, or a online store with low sales, you may want to carefully consider before making the decision to relocate. I did not make the move until my blog was generating significantly more income than my full-time salary.

The best part about digital skills is that they are completely free to learn. There are countless digital marketing jobs and certifications available to assist you in getting started with freelancing. Freelancing allows you to gain real-world experience that you can use to advance your career.
